CASE STUDY
Wireless Point to Point Link

Customer Requirement:
The customer had out-grown their existing office space and was expanding into an additional site located a couple of streets away. The customer wanted a data link between the sites because:

• He had recently purchased a VOIP PABX. He did not want to buy a second one and wanted the advantage of free calls and seamless telephony across the two sites.

• He wanted to leverage the ADSL modem and server access across both sites.

The Solution:

The customer used two Teletronics SLAB5822 radios between the two sites. These units contain a radio with integrated antenna. They are very easy to install— just run a Cat5 cable to the antenna. No lightning arrestors or RF cable are required.

In this case one antenna went on an existing TV mast and the second was erected on a 3 metre guyed mast.

The Result:
The solution was installed in one day. Users in the Remote Office report the performance of the telephone and computer services is no different to that when they were located in the Main Office. Click here for more details on the SLAB5822 or contact us.
